Kipu & Fundraising

We developed a very special limited edition Jellycat elephant (called Kipu, meaning ‘happy’ in Nepalese). Kipu was sold in all five Trotters stores and online from mid-July 2011 onwards, plus our wonderful 21st Birthday party at Duke of York Square helped to raise awareness for our cause, with the proceeds going towards the building and supplying of the first Trotters school.

A ‘one-off’, never to be repeated, 21” tall giant Kipu was also produced and was auctioned at The CAIRN Trust Casino Night at Thomas’s Fulham School. He raised a stunning £350 – enough to educate seven children for one year in Nepal and went a long way to helping our cause.

This is an on-going project and even though the school is now built Trotters and Kipu are still raising funds for the school. In September, Kipu will be looking for a wife to help him build the next Trotters school in Nepal.
