Out and about in June: family fun in London

As May quickly turns into June, the countdown to summer begins! Here are a few events and dates we’ve compiled for a bit of family fun next month.

Beasts at bedtime: Sunset Safari

Every Friday June 5th to July 17th, 6:00pm to 10:00pm

Experience London Zoo after-hours and learn about the feeding and bedtime habits of your favourite beasts. The Safari Trail will guide you through an exciting programme of animal feedings and talks about the various animals that live at the zoo. Top off your tour with an acoustic guitar performance at Safari Base Camp, fun facts from London Zoo staff at the Sunset Safari Conservation Station and a show at the Zoo’s Theatre of Life.

A concert for the whole family: Southbank Sinfonia Family Concert

Saturday June 6th  2015, 11.00am

Children: £5; Adults: £10; Family of four: £25

An opportunity to introduce the little ones to the world of classical music or simply a fun day out with the family, this presentation of Beethoven’s Fifth has been specially created to keep young minds interested. Ideal for children between the ages of 5 and 11 years of age, the audience is welcome to meet the players after the performance and try out some of their instruments.

Celebrate The Queen’s Birthday: Trooping the Colour

Free (but be prepared to get there early to get a good spot)

Celebrate the Queen’s official birthday by attending Trooping the Colour! The parade will take place at 10:00am and the fly past at 1:00pm.

London in bloom: Open Garden Squares Weekend

June 13th – June 14th

Adults: £10; Children under 12: Free

A fun day out exploring gardens across the city, with over 200 to visit there should be something for everyone! Activities and tours are still being announced so check out the website for more information.

Daddy & Me: Happy Father’s Day!

On Father’s day Trotters is happy to announce that we will be launching a brand new range of swimshorts, Daddy & Me. For the first time ever our swimshorts will  be available in sizes for adults as well as children.

A model city just for kids: KidZania London

Opening June 25th at Westfield London

Bringing together education and entertainment, KidZania is a child-size model city covering 75,000sq.ft, where children get the chance to try out different role-playing activities.
