It’s nearly that time again and to celebrate Chelsea in Bloom we will be adorning our Kings Road store with an impressive floral arch created by Phillip Corps Exquisite Flowers. The theme this year is Summer of Love which has been inspired by the Royal Wedding and the 60s/70s cultural revolution – from the Palace to the Kings Road!

At Trotters, our collections have always been inspired not only by flowers but nature as a whole and this if often reflected in the prints and fabrics we choose.

“Since I was a young child, I have always liked flowers, starting off making daisy chains for my friends and me to wear around our heads and holding a buttercup under our chins to see if we liked butter -if we did, the buttercup reflected!  Being French, the tradition of giving a bunch of lily of the valley on May 1st was one we always stuck to in my family and I can conjure up the wonderful smell of the delicate white bells.  Flowers and the way nature sometimes puts colours together in a chaotic way constantly inspires me and many of the floral designs that we use in our dresses and pyjamas stem from that passion.  Chelsea Flower show is such a very special event and regardless of what the weather might throw at us during that week, I never fail to come away with my head buzzing with new ideas.”Sophie Mirman, Founder & CEO

There will be over 60 shops, restaurants and hotels creating incredible floral installations which extend the RHS Chelsea Flower Show out into the local neighbourhood. You can even post your congratulations to the new Royal couple in the giant floral love heart on Duke of York Square which will then be delivered to the Palace.

Make sure to stop by throughout the week to check out all of the impressive floral displays on offer and remember to snap and share your favourites using #Trottersinbloom #Chelseainbloom and #RoyalLondon

Trotters will also be entering into competition for The People’s Champion Award and we would love your support so remember to vote for us between the 22nd – 24th May by visiting:
