This annual festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and brings together Punch and Judy frolics for a day of jolly good old-fashioned fun for the children. There is a grand procession which starts at 11am and led by a brass band, finishing with a birthday toast to Mr Punch, who was first seen by Samuel Pepys 353 years ago on the day. The afternoon (12.30pm-5.30pm) is to be filled with puppet shows and workshops, folk music from The Lost Marbles String Band, maypole dancing and clowns. Sounds like a lot of fun, if you ask us!
